At Expert Tree Academy, our philosophy is simple: create the next generation of highly skilled arborists through expert, hands-on instruction. We maintain small class sizes to ensure you receive personalized guidance from our industry-leading instructors.

Our curriculum integrates essential competencies, including but not limited to line clearance/utility maintenance courses, introduction to climbing basics, advanced climbing techniques, advanced pruning and rigging techniques, and critical tree care safety protocols, such as chainsaw safety and aerial rescue. We are committed to a safety-first culture, sustainable urban forestry, and evidence-based plant healthcare. Our experienced and dedicated instructors are committed to helping each student reach their full potential. They provide a supportive learning environment that fosters intellectual curiosity and critical thinking to grow the arbor industry. 

Brian Pope- Lead Instructor has been serving the industry for over 30 years is all roles from the ground to the canopy, from sales to manager. He has focused the last few years on furthering his own education to help others. He has achieved the status of BCMA, RCA, TRAQ, and more. He is a qualified TCIA instructor as well. Brian enjoys traveling to teach aerial rescue, line clearance, and more. 

We believe that education should be affordable to be effective for the arboriculture industry. That's why we are proud to be a 501c3 organization. We are always seeking grants and donors to help offset the cost of our classes to help build a more knowledgeable and safe work force.
